I hope I am ready for this. Some of you may know that in March my much loved family member and white boxer dog, Bert passed away. He had been my Mom's dog and I adopted him when my Mom passed away.
On Thursday night, for some reason, I tucked the box filled with Bert's ashes into bed with me. I miss him so much. The next day, on Friday night my sister phoned and said here was a male white boxer puppy for sale by her house. I called and today my sister picked up my new family member; a 12 week old purebred white boxer with black freckles on his pink belly and a few in his ears. I am going up to my sister's on Tuesday/Wednesday to pick him up.
It seems like messages were sent to me on Thursday, I needed an new loving companion. I was meant to have this puppy. My sister says he is adorable, beautiful, very mellow and well mannered already. I can't believe I'm doing this. I knew I wanted a boxer, but I have been trying to find an adult to adopt.
I'm a new Mom!!!! I am so excited. As soon as I get home I will post a picture of him. I hope I have the energy and patience for training such an energetic dog...I'm pretty sure I do.

Awww. You'll love it I'm sure. I've been wondering about getting a dog to help me out emotionally during the day. Something to care for and someone to keep me company during the day.
HBW: I never though I could manage the responsibility of a dog because I am so often so sick, but when I adopted my Mom's dog it was the absolute best thing in theworld for me. He forced me out of the house, took me for walks I would never have gone on and loved me unconditionately. I cannot express how good having a dog was for my mental health....also, I lost 10 lbs the first month I had him...just from going on a few short walks a day. I know you would be a good dog daddy...they soothe your soul.
Aqua - congratulations!! A new puppy... how wonderful for you. Have fun with him - aww what am I saying? Of course you'll have fun! Very awesome news.
