If you woke up tomorrow and your life was perfect, what would have to change?
how do you afford/pay for your therapy?
Why you?
I know I am way late in asking a question, but you can save this for the time when you get 20,000 visitors.
I really enjoy reading your blog, I find your relationship with Dr. X fascinating, and the whole process as well. I think you're a great writer, and you are so open and articulate about your feelings.
As someone who has just started therapy I have a question for you.
How do you know what to talk about in each session? Do you come in with a prepared idea, do you just talk about how you feel in that particular moment, does your doctor prompt you? I get so anxious before my sessions because I don't know what to say - what if what I want to talk about isn't relevant, or what if its boring, should it be minutia about my life, or focus on larger issues. When you've only got 45 minutes a week, and you've got as many issues as I do, I just don't know what to say.
If you ever do a question and answer post again I hope you'll consider my question.
And I truly hope that your suffering will end soon, that your life will be happy, and you'll look forward to getting up each day. I believe that can happen.
